NEET UG re-exam: Following the NEET paper leak, the NEET re-exam is being conducted. There is some relief for students regarding the NEET re-exam. Several state governments have announced free travel on government buses for the convenience of candidates appearing for the exam. The governments of Bihar, Punjab, and Haryana have taken this decision to facilitate students’ transportation to the exam centers. The NEET UG re-exam will be held on June 21, 2026.

The state governments say that transportation problems during the exam increase students’ stress, and they should be able to take the exam without any worries.

Bihar Government’s Decision

The Bihar government has announced free travel on state transport buses for students appearing for the NEET exam. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary announced this on the social media platform X. He stated that all students taking the exam will be able to travel on government buses throughout the state without paying any fare.

Relief will also be available in Punjab

The Punjab government has also provided special facilities for candidates. NEET candidates will be able to travel free on Punjab Roadways buses from June 20th to June 22nd. This will greatly benefit students coming from remote areas.

Haryana Government Also Announced

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has announced that students appearing for the NEET re-exam on June 20th and 21st will be able to travel free on Haryana Roadways buses. The government says this step has been taken so that students can reach the examination center on time without any stress.

Admit Card Will Be the Ticket

Students will not need any separate pass or ticket. Their NEET admit card will serve as their travel pass. Students will need to carry their admit card and identity card with them while traveling on the bus.

Why is the re-exam being held?

It is worth noting that the NEET UG exam, held on May 3, was canceled after a paper leak was reported. The exam is now scheduled to be rescheduled for June 21. 2.2 million candidates will appear for the NEET re-exam.
