Ireland’s weather has taken a dramatic turn with parts of the country set to enjoy their warmest weather in the coming days – everything you need to know here.
- Met Eireann has revealed that Ireland is set to enjoy glorious summer weather with dry and settled weather forecast for at least the next six days.
- High pressure will build over Ireland from Saturday which will send temperatures soaring, with one weather expert predicting that the thermometer could climb as high as 28C by Monday.
- Alan O’Reilly from Carlow Weather took to social media on Saturday to revealed: “The fine spell of weather begins today as sunny spells develop and temperatures start to rise a little but don’t be expecting clear blue skies and 25c!
- “Sunday will see more sunshine with cloudy mainly in West and Northwest and risk of some sea fog near Southwest coast. “Monday looks to be the warmest day with temperatures getting close to 28c in parts.
- Though things might take a downturn later in the week as he warned: “Small risk of local shower kicking off Wednesday night and then main risk of next rain is light rain on Thursday. Amounts look very low at present. Huge uncertainty for next weekend at present.”
- According to Met Eireann, 12 counties are set to see the best of the sunshine and heat on Saturday as warmer conditions begin to take hold across the country.
- Carlow, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wexford and Wicklow are all expected to see the hottest conditions on Saturday as the warm spell begins to build.
