Former US Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene has issued a fiery warning to the White House citing that if the Trump administration sends troops to Iran, the act will backfire at home.
Taking to X, Greene voiced strong opposition to the growing conflict between US-Israel and Iran, “If you send in U.S. military troops into Iran, there is going to be a political revolution in America. WE. ARE. DONE. We said no more foreign wars and we meant it.”
It is unclear what prompted the former congresswoman to issue such a fierce warning. But the reports are widely circulating about the intense military preparations that are ongoing in the Middle East.
The statement comes after Trump said “clock is ticking for Iran,” aiming to build pressure on Tehran to enter into a deal and end this months-long conflict.
Trump wrote on Truth Social post, “For Iran, the clock is ticking, and they better get moving FAST, or there won’t be anything left of them. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!” Trump wrote, signing the message President DJT.”
The former Georgia representative has emerged as a prominent voice in an “internal MAGA revolt” against initiating military conflicts and foreign interventions. She repeatedly argued that the Trump administration has betrayed its “America first” agenda by entangling itself in the conflict.
Asking for an immediate halt to the escalating tensions in the Middle East, Greene asserted, “The coalition will unite and be unstoppable. I’ll make sure of it.”
Greene resigned from Congress earlier this year on the grounds of public disagreement with Trump.
