Special measures are being taken for Hajj pilgrims


ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in which he was given a detailed briefing on the arrangements for the Hajj operation this year. During the meeting, the Prime Minister was informed that various administrative, travel and facilitation measures are being implemented in connection with the Hajj operation, while special arrangements are being made to provide better facilities to the Hajj pilgrims. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed that the Hajj pilgrims are the guests of Allah Almighty, no negligence or negligence will be tolerated in their service, the Pakistani Hajj Mission in Saudi Arabia should provide the best facilities to the pilgrims and high standards should be ensured in all arrangements.

The Prime Minister further directed that all possible facilities should be provided to the Hajj pilgrims at the airports so that their journey could be made easy and comfortable.

Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Climate Change Dr. Mosaddiq Masood Malik also met Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and gave him a detailed briefing on the preparations for the monsoon season this year.

In the meeting, the Prime Minister was also apprised of the progress and performance of the early warning system installed for glacial lake outburst floods (GLOFS) and flash floods in mountainous areas.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed that advance and comprehensive preparations be ensured for the monsoon season so that possible losses can be avoided.

He said that the early warning system should be made more effective and continuous monitoring of the vulnerable areas should be ensured so that timely measures can be taken. The Prime Minister directed the relevant institutions to expedite measures under an integrated strategy to deal with the effects of climate change.
